weektwo - REALSIM

The lecture ‘pure war’ discussed the growth of simulations throughout time. The use of simulations has given great advantages to many industries. These advantages include giving an insight to real life situations and worlds being created and how interaction in the worlds occurs. Realism is created by technology progressing growth therefore simulations became more realistic.

'a mutated form of war that exists in a pure state of permanent preparation for and anticipation of actual warfare.' PAUL VIRILIO.

Realism relates to the documentation of TOWN HALL as I try to create a realistic and accurate model. Through thorough documentation, a model can be built into solidworks and imported into 3DS max to add materiality to the model, by taking photos of the different materials used on site so that it is as realistic as possible. When put into Crysis, it enables a preview of the environment created. By allowing a user to navigate themself through the town hall model and can identify whether there are problems with the model.
